On the back of a hugely successful launch of the new Tiger 800 XC and XR range in Australia, where Triumph have recorded 45% segment share in the middleweight adventure touring category, Triumph have today announced a lowered version of the Tiger 800 XRx and Tiger 800 XCx.
These new ‘Low Seat’ versions offer a 50mm lower seat height through the combination of an accessory low seat and a new shorter travel rear shock unit (RSU) and shorter front springs. The seat height of the Tiger 800 XRx and XCx low seat places Triumph’s Tiger range as the lowest adventure bikes on the market in both ‘mag wheel’ and ‘spoke wheel’ segments.
The Tiger 800 XRx low seat is recorded at just 760mm, while the Tiger 800 XCx low seat is 790mm and maintains the high profile WP branded suspension front forks and rear shock.
“The new lowered models will offer many customers who previously felt uncomfortable or lacked confidence on the taller versions to reconsider the opportunity of owning an adventure bike and setting out on the many adventures available in our great riding country.” commented Triumph Marketing Manager, Mark Berger.
The new low versions still offer all of the features and benefits known to the XRx and XCx variants of the Tiger 800 including rider modes, cruise control, throttle maps, and more with the exception of a centre stand. The lowered XRx also picks up an aluminium sump guard and a revised radiator guard.
The new and lower Tiger 800 XCx and XRx will be arriving this September with no additional costs to the standard height variant.
