ANDREA ASTARITA | CAPTURING THE SPEED TRIPLE 1200 RS
To introduce the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS with its new striking Matt Baja Orange bodywork and complementary Silver Ice and Graphite graphics, Triumph has partnered with Andrea Astarita, a London based Photographer, known for his striking photographic style.
When briefed with capturing the Matt Baja Orange scheme, Andrea selected locations that exuded contemporary architecture, with some also featuring bold colour and striking lighting, which would complement the motorcycle.
The bright orange railings of the adjacent location, effortlessly harmonised with the striking orange scheme of the Speed Triple 1200 RS and the unique floor lighting illuminated the motorcycle, providing the perfect amount of light and casting shadow. Capturing the bike at night in this unique location, resulted in a dramatic contrast between the black sky and the brilliant orange of the bike and its backdrop.
Andrea’s dramatic photographic style, automotive specialism, and extensive knowledge of London’s extraordinary contemporary locations complemented the aggressive, sharp style and brilliant scheme of the Motorcycle.
Andrea Astarita, better known on Instagram and TikTok as @aa.vision, is a London based photographer, who has been in the industry for around five years. Andrea has established a specialty in automotive photography – this, along with his striking and contemporary style, has earned him commissions with some of the top automotive brands.
Andrea’s photography career began when he purchased a camera to enable him to create daily content in his spare time and to pursue a career in a more creative field. What started as a part time venture soon become a full-time career.
Andrea’s passion for photography and desire to inspire others has led to him create bitesize ‘how to’ photography tutorials on TikTok, earning him a mass following on the platform.
As well as being behind the camera capturing motorcycles, Andrea is an avid rider and has over six years of riding experience. For Andrea riding is a form of escapism and something that is always very therapeutic, and he states, “there is nothing else that makes him feel so free of worry”, “unless of course you are riding a classic bike, then there is always adventure there”, he laughs.
Andrea’s first ever motorcycle was a 2006 Triumph Street Triple 675 – very on-brand. This bike is his favourite-ever Triumph motorcycle due to the enjoyment that he got out of riding it and its sentimental value.
Andrea’s most unforgettable ride was travelling across Switzerland’s iconic Furca Pass with its twisty roads and spectacular mountains. However, his all-time favourite place to ride is through the streets of London, at night – a controversial statement Andrea laughs. He expressed “there is nothing better than riding with friends around the capital’s empty streets at night whilst the city is alight – it is something very special.”
The next step in Andrea’s career and personal life is to follow his dream of travelling the world in his dream car, with motorcycle in tow capturing his adventures along the way. Andrea plans to document his travelling lifestyle as he explores the globe, sharing his epic adventures on social media.
